Description
New Delta College students are required to attend a New Student Orientation session prior to the beginning of classes. The sessions will last approximately four hours. During orientation students will:
- Learn about the services that Delta offers
- Meet one-on-one with an Academic Advisor/Counselor for academic advising
- Plan your schedule
- Get your Delta Student ID Card
- Meet other new students
Space is limited, so it is necessary to pre-register before you attend. Orientation check-in will open 30 minutes prior to the start time and will take place on the main campus in the G-Wing.
We will also offer an optional parent orientation session and campus tour that will run concurrently with the New Student Orientation.
Important information:
- Prior to attending your session, you must have course placement testing complete either by submitting SAT or ACT scores to the Admissions Office; or by taking the Acuplacer placement tests in reading, writing, and mathematics. Please refer to the checklist in your accept packet.
- Prior to attending your session, you must have set up your Portal account. Please refer to the checklist in your admissions packet for instructions.
- Please bring a valid photo ID with you for check-in (Required).
- If you are unable to make your orientation session, please contact the Admissions Office at 989-686-9093 as soon as possible to reschedule.
